So, I mentioned the Eagles lost, right?
My cousin sent meĀ a text message Sunday asking how Neal was feeling after the game.
I looked up from my phone and said “Neal, Tara wants to know how you are feeling after the game.”
Blank stare.
“Honey,” I said. “Like give me an emotion or two that describe how you are feeling about the loss.”
Blank stare.
“Emotion, Neal,” I said. “Give me an emotion, like happy, sad, etc.”
Finally, the gears in the right side of his brain (because I’m convinced Neal is the most left brain person in the world) seemed to start moving, albeit very slowly. He squinted, squirmed and looked up at the ceiling.
Finally he eeked out “Ummm…. not surprised? Is that an emotion?”
HAHA, Oh, how I love my stoic husband. I wear my emotions on my sleeve and Neal… well… not so much.
On another note, today was a cool day. We got a new president!

No matter how you voted, it’s always cool to see the new president sworn in, and make his (maybe one day, her) first speech as president. And I don’t think anyone could not be awestruck at the number of people gathered on the mall to see Barack Obama.
I’m also a sucker for a good speech, and I really enjoyed his.
Sorry, no photos. Our TV shows have started back up and Neal and I are hooked again. Argh! But we’re babysitting the niece dogs this weekend, so get ready for plenty of canine cuteness!
I enjoyed the speech too. It really was amazing to see all of those people gathered there.
