I had SUCH a great holiday weekend, and I’m so bummed that it’s over. Oh well. Gotta go back to work so we can put food on the table (for Ferris and Simone).
As promised, I took some pictures of the cats today, mostly Simone. She’s easier to take pictures of because she’s really unfazed by the camera. She’s a perfect little model and just ignores me while I snap away.

She’s my little sweetheart.
I’m really dedicated in the new year to try to start shooting in manual. Right now, while I change some settings on the camera, I do use the auto mode. I’d like to start trying to avoid using the flash as much as possible. But for now, here’s what you’re going to get.
Neal’s parents’ came over for the afternoon. I made my chili (Dad’s recipe) and some cornbread. I usually buy the cornbread mix at the store, but I didn’t have any of that. I did have some cornmeal in the (newly organized) pantry so I made it from scratch, using the recipe on the cornmeal container. No more mix for me! From scratch was much better, and a cinch.

Ferris walked around with his blue string toy wrapped around him.

This was one of their first toys. And trust me, they have TONS of toys. Yet, they still love Blue String Toy (yeah, I know, we’re really creative). Whenever they are being bad, we can get this out and always get their attention. Here are Ferris and Simone cuddling with Blue String Toy as kittens.

Awwwwww! They were so stinkin’ cute as kittens.
Thanks Meg!!! It works… PS– the picture of the cats spooning is the cutest thing!
