So, New Year’s was pretty freaking cool this year. Neal and I headed up to Shawn and Andi’s house. Along the way, I get a text from Andi “Haha im reading your blog now you didnt have to bring all of that food but i can’t wait to eat it”
HAHA! Turns out it was only the four of us, and we had a crapload of food. Oooops! But it didn’t matter. It was so awesome to hang out. Neal lived with Shawn for 3 1/2 years in college, and I lived with Andi for 3 years (I’ll tell that story on the blog one day), so being with them is just… effortless. Does that make sense?
Plus, we got to see Cole!!!!! And let me tell you, the puppy is already well behaved. He knows sit already! Of course, I took tons of pictures.
That face just slays me. So cute!
We hung out and watched a lot of the Dog Whisperer, HAHA, and then broke out the champagne close to midnight.
And then we said “SEE YA SUCKER!” to 2008 and took our last picture of the year (this was taken as 11:55 p.m.).
LOL! (We have 8 fingers up total, but not nice ones. And I never promised this blog was kid-friendly…) And can I just say that ringing in the New Year in sweat pants and not heels and jeans is the best decision I ever made. Just sayin’. And yes, Andi and I are wearing the same pants, HAHA.
And then we counted down to midnight, kissed, sipped champagne and then took our first picture of 2009!
YAY! Happy New Year!
We then watched a movie, in which I was the only one to stay awake for the entire thing, LOL. The next morning, we woke up to Cole’s cute face and took more pictures.
I uploaded the pics that I thought were the best. If you want to see these and some outtakes, you can go to my Flickr Cole album here.
Anyway, it was a really great way to end the year, and a really great way to begin the year. Best of all, we got to come home and spend a great day with our kitties. I hope you all had a great New Year’s!
I have some resolution announcements to make soon. Stay tuned!
