Iron Hill

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you!

Neal had to do some quick things at his office Friday, so I suggested that I go with him, and then we could have dinner in Lancaster. He suggested trying the new Iron Hill Brewery.

Now, I’ve eaten at the Iron Hill in West Chester, and I remember really liking it. The Lancaster location did not disappoint. I’m not sure if these employees at Lancaster just came off some employee service session or what, because the customer services was probably the best I’ve seen in about forever. We had a reservation for 7:30 p.m. We got there around 7:20 and were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, which was nice. The place was packed and there were a lot of people waiting. The hostess told us it would be closer to 7:30 until we were eated. Ummm… yeah… that’s fine since that was our reservation. Now, I often expect to sit for 10, 15 minutes after my reservation time, anyway, if the restaurant is busy. I think we were seated at 7:40 or something and the hostess said “Sorry for the wait!” I was like, what? We barely waited.

Food was amazing. Waitress was great and knowledgeable about the different beer choices. The place was clean, well-decorated. I was impressed. I recommend anyone head out to the Iron Hill in Lancaster. It always seems hard to find decent places to eat, so I wanted to mention our good experience.
