Eagles. Ugh. Whatever

So, I’m pissed the Eagles lost. Blah, Blah and Argh!

So drowning my sorrows in blog writing, HAHA.

First, cooking stuff. Last night, Neal and I had tacos for dinner. Neal loves Spanish/dirty/spicy rice and normally we just buy the mix. But we didn’t have any in the pantry so I dug around and found a recipe online. I based what I made off of this recipe, but I changed it up a little. I used chicken broth rather than water, and I didn’t have any green peppers. It was a little too spicy for me, but Neal though it needed MORE spice!

It was really easy, but not as easy as the mix, HAHA.

Tonight, I made barbecue ribs in the crockpot. I had buttermilk left over from the chocolate cake, so I made buttermilk biscuits. I tried to make roast garlic mashed potatoes, but I left the garlic in the oven too long and had to throw it out. So they were just regular mashed!

The biscuits were really good. Neal said he thought the ribs were good, but I thought they were really fatty. It made me angry and I ended up not eating that much. I think it was because the Eagles were SUCKING first half and my stomach was upset. But oh well.

Earlier in the day, while Neal was at the gym, Ferris kept following me around meowing. I didn’t understand what he wanted. I sat down on the chair in the living room and he immediately curled up on my chest and seemed perfectly content. We sat in blessed, warm, purring silence for about 15 minutes until Neal got home and took pictures of us.

Look at how he’s sitting! HAHA! And yes, that’s a clump of his hair on the side of the armrest, HAHA.

We also gave the cats a new toy today; a furry mouse stuffed with catnip. They LOVED it. Ferris looked really high, and then Simone got a hold of it.

They kept taking it from each other and growling, then hissing. This toy was causing all kinds of drama in our house!

All right, well Neal and I are going to sit here and lick our wounds after the Eagles loss and cheer on the Ravens. Let’s go…. errrrrr…. (Purple) Birds!!!
