So, I know it’s been a while since I posted. I’m sorry! My mom gave me shit for not posting for two days, so I knew I better get to updating my blog.
I might be brief in what I write, because I have tons of pictures to post. Here goes!
Christmas morning, Neal and I went to my parents’ house to see them and Tad and Amanda.

My parents got Tad and Amanda the cutest ornaments that look like their dogs, Bella and Meadow.

And Neal and I were SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited to get an XBOX 360. We sort of knew we were getting it, but that didn’t make it any less exciting.

And then we enjoyed a nice breakfast of egg casserole, pumpkin bread, and mimosas. What better way to star the day than with a little champagne?

I took a picture of the Santa my dad bought my mom this year. He buys her Clothtique Santas every year. He really likes picking them out, and Mom likes getting them. This is the one he bought this year.

And I took a couple shots of their ornaments.

We bought my parents a print of an oil panting of a tuxedo cat that I bought off of etsy.com. The artist wrote me a note and everything. It was really cool, and looks like their tuxedo cat, Shiraz.

OK, so then we left my parents’ and drove to see Neal’s parents, who live about an hour away. I didn’t take any pictures while at their house, and not really sure why! We were busy talking and catching up. Oh, and we bought his parents a GPS unit and Neal spent most of the afternoon playing with it, HAHA.
Neal’s parents bought us a food processor, which I’m super excited about. I can’t wait to use it! Also, they bought us an outdoor fireplace, which I’ll post later, since I have pictures of Neal putting it together.
So after a nice afternoon, we went to Neal’s aunt’s house for dinner. Of course, I made people pose for pictures.

I’m not going to post all the family pictures, as I’m not sure everyone really wants to make an appearance on my blog, HAHA.
Dinner was amazing. I took a shot of the filet, fresh out of the oven.

I thought Neal’s aunt did a great job with the table. Her plates were really pretty. I meant to get some pictures of their dogs, but one of them rolled in something pretty stinky outside, so we didn’t have them around the table with us, HAHA.
After a long day, we drove home and pretty much conked out. Christmas festivities can take a lot out of you!
Before I tell you about our Friday, I have a confession. Neal and I knew ahead of time that we were getting XBOX from my parents. I wanted Guitar Hero really REALLY badly, so we found a great deal at Target and bought it ahead of time. Friday, the plan was to play Guitar Hero. All day.
And that’s what we did. Excuse my appearance. I literally woke up, ate breakfast and starting playing Guitar Hero. And that’s dried paint on my sweatshirt. After second thought, I can’t believe I’m posting these pictures of myself, because I look a freaking mess. Oh well!

It.was.awesome.
Neal put together the fireplace that his parents bought us. It’s funny, because I envision sitting around the fireplace outside on our patio on cool summer nights making s’mores, while Neal envisions using it to “burn shit.” LOL. I mean, not actual shit, but sticks and other yard debris. Just to clear that up.

Here it is! I love it. Such a cool gift idea!
Ferris was bad while we were not looking, and tore open our new coffee that my parents’ bought us, HAHA.

And we decided to tear ourselves away from our XBOX for a while to have dinner with my cousin, Tara, and her boyfriend Josh. We had a really nice dinner at Applebee’s, then came to back to our house to do…. what else? GUITAR HERO!!
HAHA! And Josh, who plays actual guitar, is really good at Guitar Hero. We made him play really hard songs on expert and watched in amazement.

That’s Tara playing. I was too in awe when Josh was playing to take pictures, HAHA.
Tara is really good with cats and held Ferris like a baby for a good minute. He lied in her arms, perfectly content. It was really cute.

Aww, I love my cuz. She’s so cute. AND, she actually got Neal and I to venture out to a bar on a Friday night! Amazing! HAHA! We went to a bar in the city and hung out, saw one of Neal’s old coworkers and had a really nice night. It’s so much nicer to go out now and not have to smell like smoke.
OK, I can’t believe I made it through all those pictures! Whew! I’ll post about the rest of the weekend later. Hope you all have a great, lazy Sunday!
