So, Neal and I spent most of Sunday relaxing, recovering from our eventful day in NYC (see previous post).
The kitties missed us like crazy and bombarded us with cuddles and lots of purring in bed this morning. They didn’t leave our sides most of the day.
And I decided to make some chocolate chip cookies. I like to always have some on hand, plus, I’m trying to perfect my recipe. I’ve posted the recipe I use plenty of times, but this time I used slightly less vanilla extract, and only cooked one batch at a time. I think I’ve found my winners now!
These are truly scrumptious cookies!
Simone was making a lot of noise this afternoon in the office. I walked in and found she had dug a box out of one of my shopping bags, and was playing on the box with her puff ball. Rascal.
I’m serious. She dug that box out of my shopping bag, carried it into the middle of the room and separated the two halves. Crazy.
A couple of weeks ago, I made Neal a veggie stromboli. I made myself one and didn’t really like it. Well, Neal loved his and asked me to show him how to make it so he could make it himself. He bought whole wheat pizza dough at the store and I gave him a demo. It’s really nothing fancy, just some frozen veggies, onion, cheese and seasoning.
I know it looks white. I had to put a lot of flour on it so I could roll it out.
Neal loved it so much that he didn’t wait for it to cool and sort of burnt his mouth. Weirdo.
I CANNOT believe it’s almost Christmas! Insane! I did my Christmas cards today, but didn’t order enough so I had to order more. I really need to get my shopping finished up…
