Gettin’ ready

So, for several years, we’ve been inviting friends over on the night before Thanksgiving. The first one was four years ago, and involved a lot of alcohol, a live band, snow and a lot of walking. Don’t ask.

So this year it’s TEIV. I came home from work Tuesday, vacuumed and started cooking for Wednesday night.

First, I cooked up the bacon for my bacon cream cheese crescents.

… And the dough for my pecan tarts.

Then I rolled up my bacon crescents and put them in the fridge so they are all ready to bake when I get home from work tomorrow.

And then I baked my pecan tarts so they were all ready to go tomorrow.

Yum!

I’m so excited to see my friends tomorrow! Oh, and if you are reading this and know where we live, feel free to stop by. :)

Funny thing – Neal DID NOT know that he had off work tomorrow. He said his co-workers said “See you Monday!” at work today. He had to look at his work calendar in his office to find out he has off. Lucky guy! But now I get to put him to work now. Mwah ha ha ha ha ha…….
