Song and dance

So, I think Neal is just about the funniest person in the world. I mean, a lot of people say things and I giggle and laugh and all. But sometimes Neal will say things, and I will laugh so hard that I can’t breathe, have tears streaming down my face and unable to regain any sort of composure. This is rare. But I look forward to these precious gems all the time.

No one can make me laugh like Neal.

Example:

We were on our way to my parents’ house last Friday for a pizza dinner. Neal was driving. I looked over at him and noticed about a two-inch hair on his neck. Thinking it was a strand of my hair or cat hair, I reached over to pick it off.

Ummm…. it was attached to skin.

“Ewww, Neal!” I said. “You have this really long hair on your neck! Ew! That’s so weird!”

He kind of stretched a little to try to see it in his rearview mirror.

“Well, pull it out!” he said.

I reached over and tried all these different ways to grip it, but it wouldn’t budge, and sort of started to curl from me pulling at it. It was grossing me out.

“Blech, I’m done, sweetie,” I said. “If you want it out, you need to do it yourself.”

I fidgeted at his neck for a while and finally pulled the hair out.

“That’s weird,” I said. “You need to watch that. I mean, I know you don’t shave your neck, but that’s gross.”

THEN, out of nowhere, with his hands at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel, Neal got this funny look on his face, started shaking his shoulders like he was dancing and sang:

“Let me shave my throat, do, do, do, do doo doo do.”

To the tune of that stupid song they always play in bars and clubs (Let me clear my throat!), you know?

OMG. I dissolved. I was gasping for air, slamming my feet onto the floor of the car. I was a mess. Seeing Neal dance and say those words was beyond my comprehension. Where does he come up with this stuff?

I don’t think I stopped laughing/crying until we got to my parents’ house.

He.is.hilarious.
