So, I had an errand to run after work tonight and when I got home, I saw Neal outside mowing the lawn. I parked and had some things to get out of my car. Neal stopped the mower and said “You’ll have to go around back.”
“Why?” I said, and looked at our front door. I noticed he had the front door open and our screen door was closed. I then realized he had locked the screen door.
“Why did you do that?” I said.
He looked a little sheepish. “So no one steals the cats!”
For the life of me, I don’t understand this. We live in a nice, secure, family-oriented, pretty crime-free neighborhood. However, anytime we have the front and back screen doors open to get some air flowing in the house, he locks the screen doors. He thinks someone is going to come to our door and let our cats out or steal them.
I’m not sure why Neal thinks there are crazy feline-stealing people roaming our neighborhood at all times, but apparently he does, HAHA. Oh well. He cracks me up how protective of them he is.
I found a series of pics on my computer and they make me laugh everytime.
Here’s Simone waiting in line at her litter box. I think our litter box looks like a little spaceship-pod thing. I know, I’m weird. We used to have just a plain, uncovered tray litter box. However, to our horror, one day we realized Simone backed up too far while peeing and continuously sprayed the wall. Yeah, not sure why it was our female that had trouble aiming. Whatever. So we went out right away and got this little spaceship box. Works perfectly because only the light-colored part lifts up. There are no seams at the back, so she can spray away.
Ferris pees like a horse. I swear.
HAHA! I’m sure she’s telling him to hurry up here.
Only two more work days, then we have another wedding this weekend. And then my brother gets married next weekend. AAH! Can’t wait!
