So, my big bro finally got hitched this weekend. It’s about time! HAHA!
I woke up completely nervous. Like, sick to my stomach nervous. After some Immodium AD and a call to my mom, I finally settled down a little and was prepared for the day.
First, we took a limo to get our hair did.
Here’s my (now) sister-in-law, Amanda, getting her hair done.
And my mom and I:
Numerous people walked up to me throughout the day telling me how much my mom and I look alike, HAHA. We get that all the time.
Probably one of my favorite things of the day was riding in a horse and carriage to the ceremony. So cool. All the ceremony pics were taken by Neal. He’s a pro now at taking photos when I’m in a wedding. He took dozens of photographs of each stage of the ceremony. He’s so great.
Isn’t she gorgeous? Isn’t the location amazing? Oh my, it really was a beautiful, touching and picture-perfect ceremony. I was so happy for Tad and Amanda.
The reception meant time for my speech. I volunteered to make a speech, but was really sweating it. The DJ made me stand next to Tad and Amanda, which I knew was going to make me even more emotional. As I walked by Tad, he said “Just don’t look at me.” HAHA. I knew it was going to be as hard for him as it was for me. I cried during the speech, Tad cried, and so did Amanda. But I said what I needed to say and felt good that I could express how much they both mean to me.
After that, it was time to enjoy the food, let loose and have a great time. And boy, what a great party!
I got to spend some much needed time with my cousin, Tara, who was the maid of honor at my wedding, and the best maid of honor of all time.
I love her dearly. And yeah, we’re related. I know what you are thinking… she got all the good genes!
As I said, it was a great night, and I’m so happy that Tad and Amanda are finally official! I wish them the best on their honeymoon.
