So, the Fluffy Kittens made their debut this weekend at the 2008 Wiffleball Tournament.
Each team played three games, and then it was playoffs.
So what if we lost every game by the 10-run mercy rule. We had fun, and looked damn good doing it!
So, the afternoon was tons of fun. We had such a good time and really improved each game. Of course, we enjoyed the keg after our games were over.
For some reason, at the end of the tournament, we decided to do some “wife races,” based on this competition we’ve seen on TV. It was a really bad idea after all the beer, but oh well. Hindsight is 20/20. Basically, the husband holds the wife and races to the finish line.
We lined up.
And of we went!
Things were find and dandy at this point. But that’s when it got ugly.
I saw Shawn and Andi go down beside Neal and I, and we weren’t far behind. I faceplanted into the grass and couldn’t feel the left-side of my face for a good 10 minutes.
Chris and Rachel galloped onto victory, while the losers slowly recovered from their wipeouts, HAHA.
All in all, it was a really great day, and we raised money for charity to boot. The Fluffy Kittens will be back next year, better than ever!
