OK, so Neal and I went to the theater last night (the first time since “Borat,” HAHAHA) to see The Dark Knight. We finally watched the first one last weekend and Neal was surprised at how much he liked it.

So the new one? Yeah, it rocked. Seriously, amazing movie. I believe Christian Bale makes a great Batman. Not sure what it is about him that makes him so good in the role, but he’s great. He’s very convincing as Bruce Wayne and the masked vigilante.

Heath Ledger MAKES the Joker. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen a villain as great as him in any movie. Neal and I couldn’t stop talking about the little idiosyncrasies he put into the character. He does this thing where he licks his lips a lot when he talks, and by the end of the movie, just the sound of him licking his lips sent chills up my spine.

I’m so glad we went to the see the movie. We were riding the Christian Bale wave, and rented American Psycho last night. Holy cow. There are no words for THAT movie. Christian Bale is an amazing actor. Wow.

The best thing about The Dark Knight are the moral dilemmas many of the characters, and the citizens of Gotham, face. The whole movie is about choices, and I found myself trying to figure out what choices I would make if faced with similar situations.

It’s on record to break Titanic’s record of $300 million in 16 days. I say that’s well-deserved.
