So, today’s the day. We’ve been married for two years. TWO FREAKIN’ YEARS already!!! I can’t believe it.
My mom and I went to a Longaberger basket party after I got off of work. The host was Heather, a really good friend of mine who I’ve known since I was in diapers. We married a month apart in 2006; I was a bridesmaid in her wedding and she was a bridesmaid in mine. Awwwww, cute, right? It’s been hard to stay in touch as much as I’d like. We both own houses and have been super busy. But I still consider her one of my dearest friends. She is truly an amazing person and I just love her to pieces. Here are some pics of my Mumfy at my wedding.
Ummmm…. yeah… about those pics. We were trying to kill some time before the ceremony… Ahem…
Anyway, Heather rocks (and just found out she reads my blog) and my mom and I had a good time at her party. I bought a basket to hold my napkins. I know, exciting. I’m so domestic.
It was nice to see some of the changes she’s made to her incredibly adorable home. She has experience the anguish of removing wallpaper borders, as have I, so that was fun to share our wallpaper war stories.
I came home to my hubby and these:
I absolutely love lilies. As you can see from my wedding pictures, I had white lilies in my bouquet, with pink roses. The girls had pink lilies with white roses.
We exchanged cards, rather than presents. Neal usually gets me one funny card and one serious card. He’s one of those weird people that think those stupid $1 monkey cards are funny. You know the ones, where the apes are dressed like people? He got his dad one for his birthday that had a monkey in a tutu and Neal thought it was THE funniest thing. He kept saying “the monkey’s got a tutu on!!”
Yeah, I married him. What was a I thinking?
So, this was my funny card:
Neal was so pleased with himself when I opened this card. He’s sooo strange.
So, we can now start year three of this marriage thing. I think we’re only getting better at it.
