So, Neal plays in a co-ed soccer league Wednesday and Sunday nights. A good friend of mine asked him to be on the team (she plays, too). I went to the game tonight to see Neal play, but mostly to see her and congratulate her on her recent engagement. Michelle’s fiance, Hubert, plays on the team as well. It was so good to see her. She’s been really busy since she’s getting her PhD at Hershey Med. Her ring was beautiful!
So anyway, I begged Neal to stop at a gas station along the way, because I was craving a slushy. So, here was my dinner:
Yeah, I actually feel a little sick now. Oooops.
I watched the game from the sidelines and took pictures.
That’s Hubert in goal back there. Here’s a closer picture.
This is the first time I met Hubert, and he seems like such a nice guy. One of their teammates got carded and was complaining loudly at the ref (OK, so basically he called him a dick really loudly), and Hubert calmed him down really nicely, saying it was OK and yelling wasn’t going to make the penalty go away. Hubert was so level-headed. I was really impressed. I’m so happy for Michelle!
She was pretty tired, because they had to have at least four girls playing on the field, and there were only four girls playing, so no substitutes.
This is right after the game. Right after she told me loudly NOT to take her picture. HEHE. I don’t listen. Oh, and that’s her sweetie Hubert in the gray shirt. SO CUTE!
Here’s Michelle when she’s all dolled up at my wedding:
She’s so purrrrty!
Anyway, I played around for a little on the sidelines.
The score was 0-0. It was probably due to the CRAPPY field. Do you see that? Yeah, that barely-there grass is the field. Ugh. The soccer ball was bouncing like a football all over the field.
Neal and I came home and we got my brother’s wedding invitation. I’m so excited! Oh and I picked prime rib for my dinner choice.
So, I’m pretty excited for this weekend. I have off Friday so we can take the cats to the vet, and then Neal and I will be celebrating our two-year anniversary (it’s actually Tuesday, July 22). I can’t believe it’s been two years!
So tomorrow’s my Friday. Yay! Then off to the vet. Simone’s excited (not….)
