I had THE biggest craving for chocolate chip cookies today. I’m actually not a huge chocolate freak, so this was kind of weird for me.

So I came home and after a quick sandwich, I went right to baking. I used some new recipe I found online.

Holy crap, was this batter good. It called for two teaspoons vanilla extract, which is kind of a lot, but who doesn’t like a little vanilla flavoring? And seriously, this batter was amazing. OMG.

As an aside, my wonderful Kitchen Aide mixer was a wedding gift from my three rommates from college. Awesome friends, right? I use it A LOT, and always think about them every time I use it. I really like that.

Oh yum. These cookies were pretty damn good. I’ll have to wait until Neal taste tests to determine if they are better than my famous Crunchy Jumbles.

Ferris enjoyed his favorite perch in our upstairs bathroom.

I have no idea where Simone disappears to after I get home from work. She greets me for bellies and then disappears until Neal gets home. Weird.

Anyway, I really wanted to post the pics of my yummy cookies. Neal and I are going to see The Dark Knight tomorrow, and I’m pretty excited about that. I’ll post a review.
