Back to work…

So I had such a great weekend that it was hard to get back to work today. My mind was still on the things I did around the house and the time I spent with my friends. Oh well. Gotta work to afford the things in the house, haha. It was hard to get up, because Simone always seems to know when I need to get out of bed, and she decides at that time to lie on top of me, purr and be cute. Grrrr. I know she tries it.

Funny thing. I came downstairs last night to turn off some lights before bed and I heard Simone meowing. I looked all over and finally found her.

HAHA, she was on top of our kitchen cabinets. Isn’t she cute? Ferris is usually the one who gets up on top of our cabinets. She probably chased a bug up there and got tired.

So I came home from work today and was in the mood to cook. I made meatloaf (One of Neal’s favorites), cheddar pasta, broccoli and breadsticks.

The meal went over pretty well with the husband. I liked it a lot, too. The breadsticks were just the Pillsbury things out of a can. I added some Italian seasoning and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, which made them taste a lot better. Neal told me he thought they tasted like Cheez-its. Cheez-its!! I told him I was offended and he said he didn’t mean it that way. He couldn’t understand why that wasn’t a compliment.

“Cheez-its is a nationally recognized and popular product,” he said.

“Neal, they are processed cheese crackers!” I said.

**Sigh**

After dinner, we decided to take a walk.

Stopped to take some pictures of my patriotic potted plant.

And I’m really excited to see my Rose of Sharon in my front yard is starting to bloom. I love when it’s just covered in flowers.

It attracts a lot of bees, but is far enough away from the house that we aren’t attacked by swarms as soon as we leave.

Oh, and I forgot to post the cutest pic of Simone from Saturday. She feel asleep with Neal on the couch.

HAHA! You can tell she’s relaxed!

Anyway, not much else going on. Work as usual. Tomorrow night, I have a much needed haircut.
