So, for the first time in about THREE MONTHS, Neal and I didn’t have plans on the weekend. We tried very hard to keep it that way.
I slept in until 10 a.m., which is sort of unusual for me nowadays. I usually get up on Saturdays about 8:30 or 9. Guess I was pretty tired.
The house is filthy because I haven’t had time to clean in forever.
See that? Yeah, that’s our living room ottoman, and it’s covered in cat hair. That’s Simone’s favorite spot to sleep. Isn’t that repulsive? I’m not ashamed to show this to you, although it sort of does make me gag. Blech.
So, naturally, instead of cleaning, I did something else, haha. I ran to the bank and got back to see Neal pulling weeds.
And I made him smile for the camera:
Isn’t he cute?
Neal wanted me to help, so I told him I would and then pretended to be busy doing other things. He calls me “garden girl,” because I’m actually the exact opposite. I usually kill anything remotely green. However, I do have some decent plants on my front porch. I tried to be artsy and took some pics with the macro mode on my little point-and-shoot digital camera.
I’m actually pretty happy at how they turned out. I’m saving up and begging Neal for a digital SLR. **Sigh** One of these days…
Anyway, Neal’s taking a breather and then we are off to BJ’s to load up on crap. Ferris and Simone need food and cat litter.
While coming in the house from doing yard work. I let in a fly. Because I’m good like that, I swatted in out of the air with the fly swatter. Before I could grab a napkin and pick up the dead fly from the ground, Ferris had lapped it up. I mean, he was totally crunching that fly. He cracks me up. He’s such a guy.
It’s hot, so cats have been sleeping for most of the day. Neal and I are staying in and cooking on the grill tonight, so we’ll be able to hang out with kitties and give lots of bellies
That’s all for now. Gotta charge the batteries in my camera so I can take my 1,567,987 picture of our cats sleeping.
